Memberships allow you to easily assign discounts to multiple services and products at once. All memberships will auto-renew by default using the guest's credit card on file, which allow you to charge clients automatically based on the charge frequency you set. Follow our membership builder under Marketing to designate billing, discount amount/schedule, as well as provider designation.
Please note that membership redemptions are not universal for multi-location businesses yet. This will be included in an upcoming release.
1. Go to Marketing > Memberships
2. Clic "Create New" in the top right corner
3. Enter the Name of the Memberships. The name will display on the ticket, on the receipt and in the client file.
4 (Optional). Enter a Caption & Description...
Note: Caption is limited to 70 Characters.
...which appear when selling the membership in the salon and in the client application.
(Optional) Enter "Start" and "End" Dates, which determine when the membership can be sold. If it is an ongoing Membership, keep "Now" and "Never" activated (green).
(Optional) Enter term length, which is the number of months in the membership. Please note that billing/payment frequency is different and will be set on the "Discount" tab.
5. Select "Services" on the left navigation menu
Search or select the service categories and/or services that will be included in the membership. If all services are included in the membership, check "Select All" on the top right corner.
6. (Optional) Select "Products" on the left navigation menu.
Search or select the product brands and/or products that will be included in the membership. If all products are included in the membership, check "Select All" on the top right corner. If no products are included in the membership, skip this step.
7. (Optional) Exclude departments, pricing levels and/or individual providers from the memberships. Customers will not be able to redeem membership discounts with the selected providers.
8. Select "Available Hours" on the left navigation menu.
If customers should be able to redeem memberships on all days and time that the business is open, then keep "No Date and Time Limits" checked.
If the membership should only be redeemable on specific days/time, uncheck "No Date and Time Limits" and use the table below to select the days and times that the membership is redeemable.
9. Select "Discounts" on the left navigation menu
- (Optional) Enter an "Initiation Fee" which will be collected when the guest first purchase the membership in addition to their first recurring membership fee.
- Select a "Payment Frequency". All memberships will auto-renew by default using the guest's credit card on file based on the set payment frequency.
- Enter the "Membership Cost", which will be collected on a recurring basis based on the payment frequency set above
- Select the "Service Frequency", which designates how often the allotted service discounts renew.
10. Select the discount per service/product, or for the whole category/brand.
Note: Enter a discount in the "Apply to All" field and the discount will apply to the entire service category or product brand.
Note: Membership discounts are based on the provider's price and commission based providers will be paid on the net total that the customer pays on the ticket after discounts.
(Optional): Change the membership discount from a % to a $ amount by selecting the "%" in the discount field.
Note (Optional): When the "Pick One" Icon (located to the left of the service or product name) is enabled, only the first service in the input quantity is discounted at 100%, while the remaining services are discounted at the "Apply to all" discount rate. Without Pick One enabled, the entire quantity of the service is discounted at the input discount rate and "Apply to all" has no bearing on the discount rate of services except to autofill the discount field.
If your Pick One service has more than "1" in the quantity field, please make sure you have input the amount to be discounted for services past that initial first service in the Apply to All field.
(Optional): Update the quantity allowed of each service or product per the designated "Service Frequency"
11. Click "Create" on the left navigation menu
Review the membership details and clic "Create Membership"
