Enable Tip Prompt on Terminal:
If you want your customers to be asked for a tip during checkout, you’ll need to enable the tip prompt. When enabled, the terminal will display tipping options before the transaction is finalized.
Tip Presets:
Tip presets allow you to show customers predefined tip options during checkout. This helps streamline tipping and encourages consistent gratuity amounts.
Tip Presets are the fixed tip choices displayed on the terminal screen.
Percentages of the transaction (e.g., 15%, 20%, 25%)
Update your default AuraPay terminal tip presets to calculate based on service only or the ticket total.
Payment Amount
Tips are calculated based on the actual amount being paid at the moment.Default Setting
Used when the customer pays the full bill in a single transaction
Tip percentage applies only to the current payment amount
Ticket Total
Tips are based on the entire ticket total, even if part of it was paid earlier (e.g., deposits or split payments).Useful involving partial payments or prepaid deposits
- Tip amount includes retail
Service Total
Tips are calculated only on the total service amount, even if part of it was paid earlier (e.g., deposits or split payments).Excludes retail items, ticket fees, and retail tax
Modify the preset tip buttons on your terminal to calculate tips using the configured Terminal Tip Presets.
$XX.XX - Dollar amount only ($5.00)
- XX% - Percentage only (20%)
XX% ($XX.XX) - Both (20% = $5.00)
Disable “No Tip” Option:
Completely removes the "No Tip" button on the terminal.
Disable “No Custom Tip” Option:
The “Custom Amount” button will not be shown.
