Automatically issue a promo card with a qualifying gift card purchase.
1. Select "Marketing" on the left navigation menu
2. Select "Gift Cards"
3. Open the gift card settings (Gear icon)
4. Select the checkbox for "Automatically issue Promo Card"
5. Select what the promo card can be redeemed on: Retail total, Service total , or overall ticket total ("All")
6. Choose the promo card value. This is the value of the promo card that is issued with the qualifying gift card purchase.
Note: Promo card value can be a percentage of the gift card total or a set dollar amount
7. Set a minimum gift card purchase amount. Only gift cards that exceed the set amount will qualify for a promo card.
8. (Optional) Set a promo increment, which will increase the customer's promo card value with larger gift card purchases.
Note: Promo increments can only be set if the promo card value is a dollar amount.
In the image below, the promo value is set to $10, the minimum gift card purchase is set to $100 and the promo increment is set to $100. Therefore the customer will receive an additional $10 promo credit for each $100 spent (e.g. if a customer buys a gift card between $100 - $199, then the guest will receive a $10 credit. If they purchase a gift card between $200-$299, then the customer will receive a $20 credit).
When the customer buys a gift card online, the purchaser is alerted of their promo credit when they choose a qualifying amount.
The purchaser may also decide if they want the promo credit to go to the recipient or the purchaser.
