Below are the available methods for assigning a referring guest to a new client. Once the referral is assigned, the new guest will automatically receive the referral reward (as configured under Marketing > Referrals) to use toward their first appointment. The referring guest will receive their reward after the new guest has completed and paid for that appointment.
Method 1: When Adding a New Client from the Calendar
1. Click Book New
2. Go to the "Add A New Client" tab
3. Select the referring guest from the "Referred By" dropdown when adding the client.
Method 2: New Client Profile
From the new client profile, select the referring guest from the "Referred by" dropdown.
Method 3: New Client Ticket
If the referring guest was not assigned on the client's profile prior to their appointment, the team has the opportunity to set the referral from the new guest's ticket screen using the "Referred By" dropdown.
Team members can search by client name or referral code. Once the referring guest is selected, click "Apply" to add the referral credit to the ticket.
Notes
1. If a new guest signs up from the client app, the new guest can enter their friend's referral code during the registration process.
2. Once the referring guest has been assigned using any of the methods listed above, the new guest credit will automatically be applied to the new guest's first appointment.
3. The referral assignment can be edited from the new client’s profile until the new guest pays for their first appointment. After the first appointment has been checked out, the "Referred By" field becomes locked, as the new guest credit has been used and the referring guest’s reward has been issued.
